Hi @cloud9
How are you doing today?
I am sorry to hear about your all your psoriasis symptoms. It almost sounds like you have checked the box on every one. What did your dentist say about your lock jaw? Was it related? What it due to psoriatic arthritis, what tests did he run to figure out the cause?
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team

@LizziB I suffered sore jaw. They didn't even look at me and put it down to my condition. Told me to go to dentist but I told them what the Rhem team said so he didn't investigate either but suggested a mouth guard and after a fortnight I was better. Wear it every night now I only really suffer it I'm tired and stop yawning.

Hey there!I totally understand where you’re coming from. I experienced something similar with my psoriatic arthritis (PsA). I started noticing that my jaw would often lock up and feel stiff, especially in the mornings. It was a strange and frustrating addition to my list of symptoms. I remember one morning, I struggled to eat breakfast because my jaw wouldn’t move properly. My rheumatologist explained that PsA can affect the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), leading to exactly these kinds of issues. It’s definitely worth bringing this up with your doctor if you’re facing the same problems. They might suggest specific exercises or treatments to help with the jaw stiffness. Take care and don’t hesitate to reach out for help—you’re not alone in this!

Hi
Well where do I start!
I get frustrated by the constant exhaustion in my muscles. The slightest action feels like I have just done a work out to that part of my body whether it be an arm or a my legs for example.
I am aware that my disease isn't managed at all yet even though I have been diagnosed 18 months or so. It just feels like Russian Roulette with my medication as to whether I will be allowed to continue it from one blood test to the next as my liver rebells.
Everyday a new part of my body starts to creak and feel stiff and painful. To be honest it's scaring me just how quickly things are progressing. It is really getting me down. I can't walk far, self care is difficult . I'm determined to be independent so I'll struggle to succeed in the task.
I want to have the energy to get through my day as I work full time running a women's refuge which is mentally very demanding but fortunately not too physically. I'm so tired at the end of each day. It's an uncomfortable exhaustion. I also suffer from Narcolepsy diagnosed at a similar time to the arthritis, and this also gives me fatigue- I have a double whammy of fatigue.!
I am shielding at the moment so I have had a chance to rest. The first week off work I slept solidly and now I feel more rested. I confess I am anxious about becoming so exhausted again but I am determined this illness won't stop me from doing what I love.
Overall I feel distressed with it all and just want it to go away, My healing has gone to pot. I have put weight on as I can't exercise, I dread going upstairs and at times I just don't know how to deal with it.
Sorry to sound so down hearted, I just don't feel I can bring any positivity to this discussion.

Hello, I was diagnosed with plaque psoriasis at 17/18, affecting my legs, elbows, scalp, and occasionally my face. I used creams and shampoos, and most areas improved when I paid less attention to them. Now, I only have patches on my elbows, scalp, and the area between my buttocks, which can be painful. Over the past 15/20 years, I've experienced various issues: foot and knee swelling, frozen shoulder, elbow and hip pain, and neck discomfort. I've always felt fatigued but haven't received much help from my GPs. My feet, especially my ankles, ache, and my big toenails are discolored with ridges. My right big toenail occasionally lifts. Earlier this year, I mentioned jaw discomfort to my dentist, leading to a referral to a hospital dentist, though I missed the appointment. Now, my jaw has locked and is painful. I have a GP appointment on Monday, and I'm wondering if these symptoms are related to psoriatic arthritis.
