Have faith you're in good hands and that technology and medicine has advanced so much .
That is what got me through breast and now ovarian cancer treatment .
You can ask your CSN 're regular monitoring post treatment.
Gooduck with surgery and take it easy.

Hi I’m 4 years post ovarian cancer. I had primary piretonian .after 3 chemotherapy then debulking (hysterectomy) the 3 more chemotherapy. CA 125. Went from 2.300 to 35. 18 more chemotherapy called avastin..after 6 months my CA 124 crept up to 149. CT scan reveals small tumours on my kidney. 6 more chemotherapy. CA 125 back to 45. Now I’m on oral chemotherapy called zejoula . Having CT scan today to see if it’s keeping this tumour at bay.
good luck. There is life after Cancer. Not the same life but life. Yvonne

Hi Minny l can remember the shock and desperation when l was first diagnosed l spent my time Googling symptoms and working out my life expectancy! Nothing anyone said helped it was like l was on this treadmill which l couldnt get off. But l got through it and l am such a wimp l am sure you will be better than me. However I do wish there was more information and support regarding the side effects of the operation and treatment of ovarian cancer. Take care and remember we are here to help and support you. So ask away!

Hey Minny, I have just joined this group. I was diagnosed last wednesday and I feel the same as you and I'm terrified. I'm booked for debulking in two weeks then chemo 8 weeks after.
MoiraJ summed up whats happening to me right now.
I know I need to be positive and that will come in time, I hope it comes quickly.

Thats exactly how l feel no support from GP l feel so abandoned. Still have pain and problems from operation. Is this the new norm? I am considering going private which l can ill afford just to talk to someone and hopefully get some advice.

Hello,
I was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I will have to get surgery to have the affected areas removed and then possibly chemo. My grandmother, great-aunt and my mother's sister all died from this and I'm terrified. I'm fortunate that it was caught early, but I'm so afraid that even after all the surgery and treatment, it's still going to come back.
How do I deal with this? What should I expect? I feel so lost and alone.
