Thank you @Margarita_k
I have difficulty opening all jars & bottles so any suggestions from other members would be great.
Also does anyone have experience of/can recommend any insoles? My feet are sometimes so painful it’s an effort to walk.
Thanks

I can no longer do the zip up on the back of my clothed and wondered if anyone else had issues like this and found a different way to manage it.

Hi @SparklingGem
Try attaching a long cord or shoe lace to the pull section of your zip, get into it and grasp the cord. Slowly bring the cord up over your shoulder then, while sitting on/holding the lower part of dress or top, slowly pull up the zip using your shoulder as a pivot. If the zip sticks try moving the cord over to the other shoulder.
I hope this helps.

@SparklingGem, if you leave the cord/string attached but tuck it down the back of your dress/top would that work? I don’t know if this will solve the problem though as it’s possible the cord might show. I’ve given up wearing anything with zips at the back for this reason!

Yes I do understand as I injured both hands last year and both were splinted found it very difficult and had to rely on microwave and ready meals to get buy.. Lots of supermarkets have prepared vegetables now as well.
Am still using a splint on one hand now but this is much lighter and easy to manage can prepare food better
Have you looked at the age concern website. They might have some different types of gadgets to help.

Rheumatoid arthritis and pain that it causes can make it very difficult for the patients to perform everyday tasks. However there exists a number of devices designed especially for people with rheumatoid arthritis in order to ease their pain and discomfort.
Are you familiar with any of these devices to help you open cans/jars, hold kitchen utensils, dress/undress, use the car, etc.? Have you already used them?
If yes, you are welcome to share your experience with and your opinion of them, to help others with the information.
Thank you in advance for your support!
