Medication indications

Aspirin 300mg Gastro-resistant Tablets

Aspirin 300mg Tablets contain an anti-pyretic, anti inflammatory and analgesic, and are gastro-resistant to reduce the gastric side-effects of aspirin in rheumatoid arthritis and in conditions requiring continued management with aspirin.

Aspirin may be used to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction in patients with unstable angina or in patients with a previous history of myocardial infarction.

Aspirin 75mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets

For the secondary prevention of thrombotic cerebrovascular or cardiovascular disease and following by-pass surgery (see below).

Aspirin has an antithrombotic action, mediated through inhibition of platelet activation, which has been shown to be useful in secondary prophylaxis following myocardial infarction and in patients with unstable angina or ischaemic stroke including cerebral transient attacks.

Micropirin 75mg EC Tablets are indicated when prolonged dosage of aspirin is required. The special coating resists dissolution in gastric juice, but will dissolve readily in the relatively less acid environment of the duodenum. Owing to the delay that the coating imposes on the release of the active ingredient, Micropirin 75mg EC Tablets are unsuitable for the short-term relief of pain.

Aspirin 75mg Tablets

- Secondary prevention of myocardial infarction.

- Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity in patients suffering from stable angina pectoris.

- History of unstable angina pectoris, except during the acute phase.

- Prevention of graft occlusion after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG).

- Coronary angioplasty, except during the acute phase.

- Secondary prevention of transient ischaemic attacks (TIA) and ischaemic cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), provided intracerebral haemorrhages have been ruled out.

- Acute Myocardial infarction

I take aspirin every morning to help with my angina it's been good to me so far I have had 3 angina attacks in and around 6 months but I also take my 1 trinate spray that you spray under the tongue but It does help stop the pain in my chest because the pain I get with angina is like someone crushing me on my chest and it gets tightness but when I take my spray it definitely stops the pain and the tightening and the after a while I feel a lot better so it is a god send to take the aspirin in the mornings and use the trinate spray when I need it

Organised medications and if many over same day, use medication pill box or perhaps ask chemist to supply in similar rather than individual boxes. This way you will notice if any missed? Ensure adherence to instructions on medications is utmost important. Being l.time none smoker and drinker is big help. Especially now as some newer medications cannot be taken if  have drink alcohol at all. Play your part in adhering and having improved life.

I have been on 75mg dispersal for over 20 years after Transient attack with many other medications. These cover many health issues including l.time asthma an Aortic aneurysm some 6. years ago. Side affects are different from each drug and 4. Inhalers. The alternative would be dreadful life or none. I find having a brilliant G.P. eases problems fortunately I have currently same over 20. years and others before.

I'm currently on both Aspirin and Clopidogrel due to brain aneurysm surgery. I'm hoping Clopidogrel will be removed soon... As Julie says, Aspirin is for life!
