Hello everyone,
Thank you all for participating in our discussion.
Please, we are all entitled to our own opinions, especially when it comes to our health, but let's keep the personal attacks and insults out of the discussion.
Carenity is meant to be a place where we can all discuss our health openly and freely, but if the disrespectful language continues, I will have to close this discussion, which is counterintuitive to our mission.
Have an excellent day and start to the week!
Take care,
Courtney

You cannot make people get vaccinated if they don’t want one, that’s their personal preference.
as far as I can remember we live in a democracy! Does this mean we have choices as I believe or are we going to forget democracy and give everyone your opinion, rather than let people make up their own mind. If it was you that went the opposite way to everyone else, should you fall into it because other people think you should?

@Courtney_J... Thank you for your comments which are definitely required to stop personal attacks in this discussion.
Please can we all adhere to this request and keep the conversation pleasant and respectful.
I certainly feel a lot safer now I've had both vaccinations, but that won't stop me from abiding to the rules of wearing a mask, social distancing and washing hands when needed. We might have another lockdown coming again soon due to the Indian/Delta variant, but I'll face that if and when it happens.
Stay safe and healthy!

Thankfully every person has free will and will make their own decisions on the vaccines, People have strong views and calling those that refuse the vaccine " stupid " is making a judgement on people you know nothing about. Glad to read those people who received the vaccines, did not have any side effects It is great to read good news. Been reasonable and consider other peoples opinions is not going to change your life. Anyone who has travelled to poorer countries will have noticed how poverty, poor sanitary conditions, poor diet, little or no medical help affects peoples health. Yet many in these countries are wealthy, corrupt and uncaring for their fellow citizens

I totally agree that we should not comments making personal attacks calling names to people such as stupid or silly. Each one has his or her choice whether or not to have the vaccination and we must learn to accept them. This site is a caring, supporting and advisory site and we must learn to support each other and not attack them.

I "decline " the vaccine... People who do not want the vaccine, are not "refusing "it You don't say to a person is "refusing " to take anti-depressants or "refusing " to get married You can decline without refusing,You decide what is best for you. Refuse is a manipulate term loaded with unfair morel pressure

I used to work in the pharmaceutical industry and I am very proud of the business that has developed the vaccines so quickly (but safely).

I don't believe a word government's or the supposed W.H.O. tells us . A disease with an average death age of 82 . That once used to be called a decent innings ! Why do we need to shut the world down for s virus that [This content has been moderated by an administrator]? Why are we talking on vaccinations for children [This content has been moderated by an administrator]? There own immune viruses will fight this covid just like it's thought viruses forever. I believe this Covid doesn't warrant the measures taken to combat it . I know several people ( couples) in there 60s have caught the virus pre vaccination and after and all recovered within a 2 week period some were non systematic including an 83 year old friend.
I'm not saying Covid isn't for real . I'm saying I believe the cure is worse than the virus. Other treatments are being stalled for a virus kills mainly the old and sick . My mother's treatment ( aged 91 ) for wet eye and dry in the other was stalled due to Covid . It was going well . Now she's 10% vision and probably will have to be hospitalised eventually. I've friends had cancer treatments put on hold will result in death no doubt . Why are we shutting the world down over a virus ? [This content has been moderated by an administrator]?
I've read the conspiracy theories and it's sad that looking from a neutral view of not particularly caring on my own mortality the conspiracies make more sense than the doctors and medical giants raking billions in profits while changing the way the world is run to suit God knows who ?
I'll take a vaccine when it's gone through a 3 year time scale of testing like every other medicine enters our blood stream has to , thank you !

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.
What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
