@robjmckinney ... I'm also in Group 6 and allergic to Penicillin but not worried about it. The quicker I have the vaccine, the better. I've found out the vaccine my doctor is administering and am happy with his choice. A friend of mine had the Astra-Zeneca first one done yesterday; she had a slight headache afterwards but is doing well. No side effects.

Hi lesmal,
Well the EU are pushing hard to demanding the UK surrender the vaccine to them so we may be looking at a delay. Plus other groups are bringing pressure to get the vaccine by jumping the queue over us, so we make see a delay, stay safe!

@robjmckinney ... My husband is due for vaccination on 15th February but I don't expect to be done myself until at least March or even later depending on what happens with the demand etc. Staying safe is a top priority at the moment, i.e. washing hands, wearing my mask, distancing myself from the public as usual and only going out when essential, i.e. for groceries and medication.
Keep well and let's see who gets done first, you or me!

hi, I originally said that I wouldn't have the vaccine but thinking about carefully, I am due for my first dose, this Friday a.m. Not sure how effective it will be, but as I was diagnosed with lung cancer, 4yrs ago, it's a risk that Iam now prepared to take.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.
What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
