Hi all, same here, feeling stressed and not sleeping well. If anyone is interested there is a free stress control course starting on Monday for 6 weeks. If you are interested it will be on you tube and can be accessed at 2pm or 8pm on Mondays. Type BLOCKEDstresscontrol[.]org/BLOCKED on you tube to subscribe. Course materials are found on www.stresscontrol.org to read/ down load/ print. Tbe person who is running the course is Jim White, a scottish psychologist that works with the NHS. I'm going to give it a go xx

Sleep during this pandemic has been no different from any other time for me. Having a disabled partner who needs help in and out of bed an average 3 times a night means being awake for about 20 minutes a time with on a good night having spells of 1.5 hrs sleep between each time.. Result being tired all the time to a degree.

I have medication that helps me sleep. To that, I have added 6 mgs of melatonin. I have researched it and you can take up to 10 mgs safely. Sleep experts suggest no screen time the last hour before you go to bed because it disrupts your body's sleep wake cycle. Instead, do some reading just before bed and get the TV out of your bedroom. Another thing that helps are weighted blankets which you can get on Amazon. The weight does something to calm your nerves. Try aromatherapy too, along with meditation to some soothing music which you can find on Youtube. Deep breathing exercises help as well. These are things I have learned in the past six months as I was going through a mental health crisis. I am happy to pass along what I have learned. Rest and sleep well my friends! Leah
