Welcome to you.i am 64years old.worked 28years as a support worker.had a mastectomy in 2016.i found staff looking after me very unsympathetic.upset me deeply.i now have metastatic lung cancer.and have a great fear of going into hospital ☹️do you think empathy should be a large part of nurse training?😜

Good Morning Members,
Here's my reaction upon returning to the office this Monday morning and seeing all of your posts:
I am truly so happy and honoured to meet all you and to know that we're such a warm and supportive community. It will take me a while to respond to everyone, but I'll do my best, even if it's just to say hello back
Thank you for your responses, stories and well-wishes and let's keep this up! Now that we know what we're capable of, let's make Carenity UK the best community out there
Thanks again and have a great Monday everyone!
Michael

@lesmal Would like to wish you the very same (as your latest post; wishing everyone a Happy Monday and to "hang in there")! Would also like to pass this on to everyone else too! I think, at the end of the day, everyone has 2 choices - 1) Sink or 2) Swim. We probably all "sink" once in awhile, after all, we're all human but it is VITAL to "bob back up to the top" and carry on regardless x

@Yank34... Love your sense of humour ... Sink or swim... I'm swimming all the way... Maybe I'll stop halfway for a 'breather'!
Happy days!

@lesmal ALWAYS a good idea to take a "breather" every once in awhile - especially for anyone aged 60+! Hoping EVERYONE finds happiness (at least somewhere/somehow) everyday!

@JamesP Hello,
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's nowhere near the same thing, but the Carenity community is definitely here to support you.
Sincerely,
Michael

@Psulsayhi
"Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Now the forum's feeling lonely, could you leave a comment too?"
I might have changed that last line ;)

Hello members,
Over the last year I have really enjoyed being your Community Manager. You have all inspired me with your stories of strength facing your different conditions and you have opened my mind through reading your discussions.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you all. I wish you all the very best going forward and I hope you all continue using Carenity and finding it a useful support tool.
It’s my pleasure to introduce Michael who will be moderating the UK forum from here on out. Be sure to give him a hearty welcome and don’t hesitate to contact him with your questions or concerns.
Much love,
Josephine
