@Michael_B
I'm still trying to pace myself. I take one day at a time.
I got asthma, mild cerebral palsy, rheumatoid arthritis Also deaf. I'm on too many medications. Autumn & winter causes depression.
I'm currently on the waiting list for physiotherapy. Pain in my left leg, unable to walk. Had to use my rollator like a wheelchair.

Hi Michael. Thanks for your message and good luck in your new job 😊
I am here as my Father was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer on 6th September 2018. Everything moved so quickly from then. He had chemotherapy and radiotherapy and actually took it like a trooper!! Scans afterwards revealed that they had moved the tumour from major blood vessels but it was still there. We were told that he would “Be kept an eye on”His treatment finished middle of January. Apart from fatigue he was ok. He was 70 on 1st of July so the whole family took him for a lovely weekend which he really enjoyed. Few weeks after that he started going downhill. He had a check up 3 weeks ago and had lost 5 kgs since middle of July and we were told the cancer has spread to his right lung. Originally it was the left lung. He has had brain and abdomen scans and having a full body bone scan and biopsy. Once we know results we can take it from there.
it’s hard knowing what to do and what to do for the best but this site has helped me tremendously. Thank you 💕

Hello @Shazmcm
Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry to hear your father's doing poorly. Please do keep us updated on how the situation evolves.
You probably already know, but there is a thread on Living with Lung Cancer and a section on News Articles about Lung Cancer Treatments where you might find other members with a loved one suffering from lung cancer who could offer support.
I hope this message finds you and your father better and thanks for joining and supporting the forums. It means a lot!
Take care,
Michael

Does anyone suffer of being deaf I am deaf in both ears I wear 2 hearing aids but I also suffer with ear infections, so when I do get an ear infection I cant wear my hearing aid ,my specialist said I could have a cochlear fitted but being 65 I dont think I could go through that,I have a pulse block that I put under my pillow ,so if there is a fire and the alarm goes off my pillow vibrates ,also I have a door sensor so when anyone rings the bell a light flashes and the door bell becomes very loud ,also I have a life line and my trev has a pager on his belt so if i have to press bell ,his pager let's him know ,i was also given a walking stick with red tape on so drivers know that i am deaf also it is white with a special handle so it sits comfortably on my hand so when i walk with it ,it doesn't hurt my arthritis, does anyone on here have the same or are they not deaf ,when i lie down it's hard for me to sleep as i also suffer with tinnitus, i have had an operation on my left ear i had a Mastoidectomy, but this was all connected when i became a coeliac, Tiger

Hi Michael
Just dropped in to say. Hi, Hello, How are you? I'm one of your ambassadors and I am always close at hand if needed.
I have an awful lot of pathologies as you will see in my testimonial. As a result I can offer advise on a lot of ailments and treatments. I had a lot of experience in the Samaritans organisation, I left 10 years ago after five and a half years talking to the desperate and needy, extremely hard at times. I am a good listener and any advise given is from my own experiences and knowledge.
Looking forward to getting to know you over the next few months.
WELCOME TO OUR BACKYARD.

Hi Michael, thanks for making contact, it has been a while since I got involved with this site, but your contact feels timely as I'm finding the need to more actively manage my depression again (and gratefully feeling well enough to be proactive again).

Hello members,
Over the last year I have really enjoyed being your Community Manager. You have all inspired me with your stories of strength facing your different conditions and you have opened my mind through reading your discussions.
