@Tigger.co.uk I am also deaf in both ears. I got similar kind of gadget. I use olive oil for my ears to stay clear of wax. I use to suffer alot from ears infections. Taking a shower does clear the air ways.
I still struggle with telephone, even with the loop system

I also struggle hearing but I have to put cotton wool with vaseline so I do not get water in my ears ,as if I do it can cause another infection, I cant put olive oil or anything like that as I see a specialist ever 4 months so they can keep a check on me ,with all the hearing gadgets I have I am also on a life line so if anything goes wrong with any of my illnesses then I can press a buzzer and someone on the other line can ask what is wrong so I do feel protected ,but like I said before they wanted me to have a cochlear fitted but being 65 and going through breast cancer and everything else I dont think I could go through anymore. thank you for your message I do hope you are ok being deaf is so hard to cope with at times so I do understand how you feel and how alike we are with being deaf take care love and hugs Tiger .

Hello members,
Over the last year I have really enjoyed being your Community Manager. You have all inspired me with your stories of strength facing your different conditions and you have opened my mind through reading your discussions.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you all. I wish you all the very best going forward and I hope you all continue using Carenity and finding it a useful support tool.
It’s my pleasure to introduce Michael who will be moderating the UK forum from here on out. Be sure to give him a hearty welcome and don’t hesitate to contact him with your questions or concerns.
Much love,
Josephine
