I had Fusion in 2009. I was okay for a year after that another disc slipped and then again another one, and I developed scoliosis. Had 5 spinal surgeries in all. Due to lack of physio in between my surgeries, I am now bent form my hips and have walk with crutches. I can not stand on my own without pain for longer than a minute. Have to hold on to the kitchen top or chair. There is no pain when I sit down but walking and standing in one place is painful. I still go for long walks with the crutches, as I want to remain as mobile and independent as possible for my later years. I am already 77 now.

Thought i had just a stiff neck, booked in for physio, he said its arthritus , any body got any ideas about how to deal with it?

Your physio should advise you on neck exercises for Arthritis. You should do them religiously every day twice a day or more often when you are just sitting down. It really helps. its like everything, if you don't use it, you lose it. So do the exercises when physio gives them to you. Good luck.

I started with it in my spine along with bulging discs now have it in my left knee to the point of being advices to have a knee replacement. I was to have a procedure to remove debris’s under my knee but at last minute it was cancelled my consultant then advised I wouldn’t benefit from that so now on list for surgery It’s not pleasant it’s diliberating & exceptionally painful

Osteoarthritis is the most form of arthritis and it most commonly occurs in the spine, hands, hips, knees and spine.
Where does your osteoarthritis affect you? Is it just one location or several?
Please let us know and share your experiences:)
