I can't give you any magic painkiller I'm afraid, but I do wonder if you are suffering from something like fibromyalgia alongside your arthritis and anaemia. I would suggest you ask your rheumatologist about this, and perhaps ask for a referral to a pain clinic.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi Sorry i do not know of any miracle pain relief but i agree with annikins59 i would recommend you be referred to a pain clinic and also maybe to physiotheraphy as well. Which is what i am doing to try and strength the abdominal muscles which support the legs to walk. Mine is not so much from the osteoarthitis but from the 2 lots of major surgery i had for cervical cancer, which has given me lots of different side effects including lympgoedema which makes the legs heavy to lift and move.

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!

I need some help and advise.. I cannot believe that this is happening to me! I've gone from Athlete to invalid in less than two years. I can barely walk.
Saw the Rheumatologist last week; he showed me the X-Rays of my Hips,, knees and ankles; they all show signs of degenerative Osteo Arthritis. I asked if I needed hip joint replacements? he said he had seen a lot worse; and didn't think they were at a stage of needing to be replaced, he also stated : He couldn't understand why I was having so much trouble trying to walk; even though I cannot put any load-bareing on my limbs. had a few more X-rays done and he's referred me for a Body Scan.
I'm finding it difficult to understand this disability; I'm taking all sorts of vitamins and supplements to aid a healthy body; and some herbs to reduce any swelling; also painkillers. I'm at a stage where nothing seems to help; and each day is getting progressively worse!
I sometimes wonder if there is something else wrong with me, apart from the Arthritis and Pernicious Anaemia? I'm struggling with my mobility. Does anyone know of some kind of pain relief guaranteed to help me walk properly?
Any help or advise appreciated
