@Kathrynhaslam Hello Kathryn,
Well didn't the doctor give the reason for the scarring. There are many causes for scarring in the brain, its broad basically saying damaged brain but why?
She should ask the doctor of the cause of the scarring and if there is a chance of it coming back in future pregnancies? And how to prevent it from happening again.
A story of how the pregnancy was going before the incident can help?
Bets of luck with it tomorrow

Hi, It went well, he has requested another brain scan to compare to the one she had originally, it’s to see if anymore scaring has appeared. To be honest she is healthy and symptom free, it’s the unknown - will it reoccur , if it does when, what is the long term prognosis, lots of questions that they can’t answer.
Hope you are ok, and thanks for asking.
kathryn.

@Kathrynhaslam I am glad it went well :) It will be interesting to see the differences between the two scans, it is veru worrying for you but she is young and it will be fine.
Let us know how it goes and wishing you the best.

18 months ago when my daughter (21yrs) became pregnant she presented with several symptoms, her balance was effected, her left eye became squinted she also had hearing problems. A scan showed many scars on her brain. It’s took months for her to get back to normal.
All her symptoms have now gone.
She has an appointment with her neurologist tomorrow. We are not sure what questions we should be asking, should she be having a further scan to see if more scaring has appeared, should she be on medication. At her last appointment he described it as a “ Isolated incident”, and suggested we just carry on as we are.
Any advice would be appreciated
thankyou in advance.
