@jandutchess I believe only the official ones they use in hospital are useful? It's got something to do with the filtration. I can't remember exactly. I read an article on here that explained it well, I'll send you the link if I can find it. I understand how you're feeling. 12 weeks isolation over here too. Have you got a camera on your phone or computer? My son has got it set up so I can see the grandkids and talk to them on my computer or on my phone. It helps. If I can't see them in person at least I can speak to them and see them on the computer.

@jandutchess I found the article. The respirators are the really good ones and with the shortage they're supposed to be reserved for doctors.

When my husband goes and does the shopping or fetching a paper he always wears a mask with a filter in it and when we recieve letters he opens them for me he always washes his hands and when he comes back from shopping he washes his hands again and when I have read the letters I wash my hands to as I am having to isolate for 12 wks as I have no immunity I cant even go out but I can stand out on my balcony near my door. I've heard they help and so they are useless. I'm a big risk of getting covid9 it would make me seriously ill. I'm on 12wks isolation. Thoughts please. I won't see my 3 daughters or my 14 grandchildren til end of June. It's a bummer xxx stay safe everyone.
