I take Calcium and Vit D as I find I do not go out as much as I use to so Vit D helps with lack of sunlight and I just think as we get older calcium is always good for the bones

I take Serrapeptase in fairly high doses. This was prescribed by a doctor in Majorca. Here you have to buy it. This is one of the few countries that does not recognise enzyme therapy. I have had COPD for 20 years and have been taking this for 12. During these 12 years my lung function has only dropped 3 points!
I try to get outdoors as much as possible, until the cold hurts my breathing, but by January I take vitamin D.

Be careful with Calcium as I was prescribed it and after a good few years of taking Sandecal 1000 I ended up with Kidney Poisoning almost on Dialysis. I take Omega 3 1000, Zinc and Selenium with my prescribed medication.

Hi all,
How are you today? Have you seen this older discussion?
Have you tried any vitamins or supplements? Have they helped your COPD? Did your doctor recommend them or did you try them on your own?

I have made changes in my eating habits to respond to my DX two years ago of COPD.Every morning starts with porridge, with two dessert spoonfuls of Chia seeds and a good portion of Blueberries.Further supplents of 1000mg of Omega-3 Fish Oil,Vitabiotics Ultra Vitamin D 4000 IUs.Wellmans Vitabiotics 70+ Vitamins. Also one tablet morning and one at bedtime of Ashwagandha KSM-66.
Does all this make a difference to my health? really don't know however despite have both Fyzer? vaccines I still managed to get Covid-19,however despite my worst nightmares of this happening to me,vision of hospital time on a ventilator etc etc,my symptoms lasted about a week and was no more to me than a cold, runny nose and cough.Prehaps my suppliments contributed to my mild form of Covid-19 along with my vaccines.

Hi all,
Are you taking any vitamins or supplements for your diet? What kind? Were they recommended by your doctor?
Do you think they are having a positive impact on your COPD?
Thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Margarita
