Annamaewong, you are not alone and of course, your life matters to those around you.like yourself I have had to make big life changes.
I have made new friends with people with COPD in my area and have developed a new lifestyle that I can comfortably live with, of course, I struggle but I have found a new purpose in life.
I wish you all the best and easy-breathing, so never give up.

This feeling of wanting to give up is very common with this ailment. I have felt like it often, but something suddenly makes me feel life is worth living.
Recently, on holiday I met a man who had suffered a massive stroke. It affected his speech, he was slow but understandable. His hearing - he learned to lip read - his balance - bought a walking stick. His ambition, to buy a new bike and ride it! Not bad for 82.
I was making that my last holiday abroad, until he gave me the never give up talk.
I am starting an eight week therapy course and looking at brochures for India. I may not make it but I am going to give it my best shot.
I have been fighting this for 20 years, the battle is not over yet.

I have had epilepsy for 45 years. Life is worth living... Never think it isn't .
We all have some sort of health problem but sharing them together and making friends is what keeps us going! Don't ever think you aren't worthwhile... Share your experiences with us and know that there are many supportive people out there!

Does anyone else wake up each day wondering whether it is worth it or if today is the day you put yourself and everyone connected with you out of the misery you cause? I have COPD but for years they never noticed that I also have obstructive bronchiolitis. I feel like I am a burden on everyone connected with me.
