The chemo therapy I received has had major impact on my life. It has left me in periphal neuropathy, a very bad impact on my dyslexia, anxiety, damage to my lungs and the on going treatment of Exemastame I've now put a considerable amount of weight and have a terrible rash on my chest. I have list my job because of my dyslexia, which led to to a suicide atempt.

no one is prepared to be even vaguely interested in the the impact of the treatment once I was discharged by the oncologist.

has anyone else got these types of issues from the chemotherapy.

I agree, when I was having my treatment, there were other ladies having the same chemo tch. I got my three on the one day, one lady was in on a Thursday and only had the Taxotere (docetaxel) then came back in the following week for Carboplatin and if she was able had the Herceptin on the same day, if not the Herceptin was given the following day. She would be missing for a week as she was unwell, whereas I just flew through the treatment every 3 weeks so done in the 6 rounds.

It depends on your type of cancer, how strong you in mind and body, everyone is different so their treatment will be different. I am almost finished the herceptin had this every three weeks even though I finished TCH in Feb. Other ladies I know didn't have herceptin plus I am on tamoxifin again some ladies I know are not taking this either.

I still find that I can't concentrate on anything for very long, whether that's down to the effects of the chemo I have taken or the herceptin and anastrozole I'm still taking I don't know.
