@Courtney_J I mentioned this in another discussion, but for now I'm just taking levothyroxine. It's been going pretty well and I haven't had any side effects. We're still figuring out what dose is the best for me. :)

I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 12 years ago. I didn't really know anything about it. I went to my doctors because I was tired all the time and felt like I was living in a fog. Further to my blood tests I was put on Levothyroxine and continue with the medication. I have a blood test each year to check my levels and so far the medication is keeping it where it should be

I have lost a lot of hair, does bother me but I do my best to disguise it. I thought about a wig but try to manage for now.

I am on 100 mils of levoxtine and 50 mils of levoxtine a day and i got told when i got diagnosed with under active thyroid i can never come of the medication and the condition is for life .

I'm only on 100mg a day but I was losing so much hair I thought I would end up bald. I discovered Petrol Head and Maiden Hair shampoos and conditioners from [This content has been moderated by an administrator] my hairs fuller than it was before and its gone from shoulder length to almost waist length.
If you're in a country they don't post to, try to find a shampoo with no sulphates or parabens and add a few drops of rosemary oil, it helps but its not as good as the MCC ones.
I totally relate to the weight gain.
