@gazgeorge Thank you so much for that!
I drink about 3-4 cups of coffee a day ... I'm going to end up with withdrawal 😂 but you know what, certainly worth giving it a shot.
And as for the manuka honey, I had people swearing by it, insisting it completely cured eczema, all it did was make mine burn and inflame like hell. The progress photos are great! My biggest issue it my hands and face, new patches every week:(
Thanks so much!

@GGrant I really recommend it. I will say that this took place over a year so try to stick it out even if you don’t see results immediately. A simple switch to tea was all it took. Best of luck!

Hi everyone, im so glad i found this group. I had eczema as a child but suddenly it appeared out if no where a year ago everywhere! My under arms were weeping an my entire body was so so sore.
The past year it has been on and off, good days and bad days. A week ago it came back with a vengance everywhere and affecting my sleep so badly. I moisturise all the time, tried steroids but refuse to use anymore as it came back worse. I find Aveeno Dermexa works best for me. My under eyes have become swollen, wrinkly and just awful the past few days.
I just cant seem to put my finger on what triggers it and im just lost for what to even do. It feels like ants crawling all over my skim constantly!! Anyone with this condition knows how badly it can affect daily life :(

Speaking of your comment about steroids - I've been diagnosed with TSA and TSW (topical steroid addiction and withdrawal) - my entire face, arms, legs have all blistered/scarlet burning and am on anti-fungal, antibiotics, antihistamines and anti-inflammatories until I heal over it.
I completley feel your pain that there is no treatment that isnt another sacrifice, or only temporary. I feel like ants /nettles are on my skin constantly all the time too.
Stay strong- you're not alone even if others think eczema is minor or a simple childhood issue. I encourage you to go back to the doctor consistently, you deserve intervention even if you feel like you're pestering them. Make sure you sterilize your hands and replace lids for moisturisers, maybe try avoid dairy if you haven't already and drink lots of water (apologies if you have tried all this). Keep going!

Hey, after 15 free glorious years, my eczema has come back with a vengeance! Apartt from all the obvious discomfort, I now have this nerve pain or stingy sensation that is really debilitating. Ive been off work for 2 months. Tried all the sterioids, wearing bandages etc. Due to Covid, all my medical appointments have been by telephone. Really struggling with how to cope. Palms of hands are the worst but covered head to foot part from face :(

I am a bit late to this conversation but thought it important to post. I am under the Hospital at the moment having Light Therapy, which is sunbed sessions basically. I go twice a week, could do 3 but said no to that. My skin is so sensitive that I have got burnt a couple of times, so the skin is red in places but usually dulls down by the next day. I was also on a course of antibiotics & steroids when I had a bad flare up a few months ago which was really uncomfortable. Not sure if this treatment would work for others but everything is worth a try.

Hi all, I’m new here. I’m 33 and had never suffered from eczema until about 12/14 weeks ago when my whole body broke out in it - and I mean whole body, head to toe!
Approx. 12 weeks ago I got a weird circular ‘rash’ on my forearm and it was itchy beyond belief! I assumed it was nothing and went about my life. As the days went on it got larger and larger and itchier and itchier, to the point where I rang the docs. Because of Covid they wouldn’t see me face to face and asked that I send pictures in, i did, was ‘diagnosed’ with a fungal infection and told to apply anti-fungal cream... fast forward a week and my full lower arm had swelled up like a balloon and was constantly seeping yellow liquid. Still itchy and unbelievably painful.
So I went to hospital (a and e), the doctor here told me I had impetigo, prescribed a different cream and told me I had to stay away (basically no contact)from my wife and baby until it was gone. Applied the cream as per instructions, again no progress and now more patches of ‘rash’ were appearing on my body.
After a while I was prescribed steroid cream that took it all away but as soon as I stopped using it, it came straight back. the frustrating thing is the dermatologist saw me when my skin was clear while I was on the cream and said I’ll check up with you in 6 month as your skin is now clear... he said get in touch if it flares up again but I feel like I’m bothering them or like I’m not being taken seriously.
I’m struggling to get through the days at the minute, I’m just so depressed I feel like my life has been turned upside down. I’m trying to keep a smile on my face for my family but it’s so hard.
What do you all do to cope with the mental side of things?

@Carl_B Hello Carl_B, thank you for sharing what you've been through. I think one of the things that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us is that telemedicine is not a catch-all, perfect solution for all conditions. That's also disappointed that you were a bit brushed aside by medical staff.
Has anyone else had a negative experience with telemedicine and your skin condition? How do you cope with the frustration or mental side of things?

@Courtney_J hi everyone. I've always suffered on and off since I was a kid. As an adult I've had 2 major flares in the last 18months. I'm talking full body eczema. 2st one cleared up in a week with steroids, emollient and antibiotics.
This 2nd one won't subside, currently 8 weeks in I think. Tried everything.
Can't sleep, have really down days, as close to depression as I can imagine it must be for people.
Really can't see the light on this one but looking into private allergy tests and dermatologists.
Thanks. Dean.
