Hi there
I started on Enbrel injections 10 days ago. I have to have the one that I mix myself due to being allergic to preservatives in drugs. As I have only had 2 injections I have yet to start benefiting from it but one issue I have had is being able to get the sealed cap off the syringe containing the mixing fluid. You would think that whoever thought of that would have realised that people with arthritis in their hands would struggle with it. Luckily I am having a nurse visit until I am able to do it myself.
Fingers crossed the Enbrel works as there is nothing else I can have. I'll keep you posted as to whether it works or not.
Take care everyone.

Hello, I've been talking Humira injections for a few years now and I have to say they have been great for me. I didn't get on well with Merhotrexate (headaches, nausea etc very much like a hangover but without the pleasure of a night out!) so when I was offered biological treatment I jumped at the chance. They are convenient to administer yourself and I can tell when I am due to inject the day before I need it so it must be doing some good. The only thing I'm struggling with is increased sinus problems. Does anyone else experience this with Humira?

Hello
I have just joined the group.
My ankles are very swollen all the time and painfull. I cant turn them so well due to pain. My left wrist is very swollen .
I take Humira injections every two weeks at home, they help but soon wear off.
I am seeing my consultant in June and hoping for some more info re boots/ ankle brace.
Does anyone else suffer in ankles and wrists if so what do you do.

Hi
Been taking Embrel for a few years now but still struggle with the pens, physically and mentally. It's so bad that now a family member have to push the button for me as I can't.
I have rheumatoid in all joints and at the age of 21 I've had to have an elbow replacement. would be nice to meet others who have had elbow replacements too

I have been injecting Entenercept (Benepali) for about a year now, it has made such a difference to my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm still so tired but struggle to sleep at night. But I have fewer flare ups. I' now down to 5mg of prednisolone, hopefully I might be able to come off of it completely. Entenercept has been the best thing for me. I wouldn' want to change it for anything.

Hi everyone,
You are suffering with rheumatoid arthritis and you know nothing about biotherapy (biological therapy)? Time to talk about it!
- What is biotherapy?
- What are the conditions to have access to this treatment? etc.
If you are currently treated by biotherapy, let other patients benefit from your experience!
- Are you satisfied with this treatment?
- What are the drawbacks of it?
Share your tips and advice with other Carenity members by commenting on this discussion.
We also invite you to take part in a survey on biotherapy. Click here to learn more and participate, if you haven’t already done that.
Kind regards,
The Carenity team
