@Jeiko85 I'm curious about this too. I've heard that gluten-free diets can be beneficial since gluten is thought to be inflammatory, but I'm nervous to try. I wonder about veganism because I don't know about the meat substitutes they used. I've heard soya causes inflammation too. I asked my GP about it and he didn't really know anything either.

Hi there, I’d just like to say as we all know, everyone is different and there will be various foods that will trigger flares for everyone. I maintained a sugar/gluten/dairy free diet for one year. My insides were never better however my pain level became worse and I was, after that year, pretty much unable to walk.
I was also feeling very miserable Because as a foodie I was missing out on so much and actually started to feel suicidal. My friends felt as though they had lost me. There is no doubt that sugar will cause inflammation and I do my best to minimise my consumption of sugar. Yeast is another factor, bigger than the gluten I have come to realise And I keep dairy to a minimum also but I don’t really deny myself anything totally anymore. All in moderation. Just do a food diary and find out what works for you. X

Tried various food diets and exclusion diets but lost weight which I could not afford to do and kept thinking of what to eat. Just try to eat healthily and exercise and take meds.

Hi all!!
I’ve had a string of bad luck with my health lately. One thing that comes up a lot is people suggesting it’s all manageable through diet.
Has anyone tries managing through diet and what results did you have?
I only tried once before I was diagnosed and it just added to my misery as I was in pain and didn’t know why and couldn’t eat any enjoyable or a variety of food.
I appreciate this is probably a discussion that has come up before. I’ve amended my diet to help with migraines and fingers crossed this seems to be working. The most recent recommendation has been to go vegan which is a very different diet to my current diet
