@Jinder1961 Hello Jinder1961, thank you for starting this discussion. I'm so sorry your operation has been cancelled and that you're going through all that during this already difficult time. We have a fact sheet for Avastin, feel free to share your opinion on it once you've started your course: Avastin Fact Sheet
Let me tag some members who may be able to share their insights and experiences on those treatments with you.
Hello members, I hope you don't mind my tagging you. Have you taken Avastin or Niraparib in your treatment for ovarian cancer? Did you have any side effects? Did it work for you? Can you share any advice with Jinder1961?

As far as I have experienced, Avastin has given me little or no side effects. I am now on a 3 weekly ‘maintainance’ cycle of a small infusion of Avastin only - I have had 2 so far - and I feel fine and energised.
Plaxitaxal was not such good news as I experienced sickness, constipation, hair loss as well as nerve damage to my feet and hands.
Best wishes,
Valerie Kemp

Hi all
I've had ovarian cancer since May last year. Had a full hysterectomy and 6 cycles of chemo as still have a lot of cancer in my bowel. I was waiting for bowel operation but cos of Covid-12 the surgeon and Omcolist doc have advised I try chemo drug Avastin or Nirapiarib. Iam not happy but have agreed to try these drugs as the cancer is still in my bowel. The surgeon has said he will need to look inside me to see how big the disease is and I may end up with stoma bag. Also if the area is too big he may not remove it as I cannot survive without bowel.
Does anyone know about the two drugs above and side effects and survival time using them?
