@Courtney_J I was diagnosed in early 2019. I had been having pains and pressure in my abdomen and intercourse was really painful. My stomach was bloated and I would have to use the toilet at night several times, and then when I would get out of bed in the morning I would feel a strange sort of pressure in my pelvis. I finally went to the gynaecologist who ordered a CA125 test and ultrasound. My CA125 results were high, pointing to cancer, and in the ultrasound they couldn't even see my ovaries from the tumours. I had a hysterectomy and ovary removal in August 2019 and then chemotherapy. It was all terribly frightening and painful, but for now I seem to be healed. If anyone wants to chat I'm available!

Hi Courtney,
I was diagnosed with stage 3b HGS ovarian cancer in January this year it had also spread to my omentum,I had the operation followed by 6 rounds of chemotherapy which finished the end of June,The only reason I went to the doctors was because I walked to my sisters and I developed a pretty bad pain at the top of my tummy which didn't seem right so prompted me the next day to go to the doctors,I also felt a lump on my right side also I mentioned my tummy being bloated,I had also put weight on,my doctor done emergency blood tests that day I didn't know at the time one was a ca125,the doctor told me it was to check if anything was going on what shouldn't be,(this was on a friday),the Monday I went back for results and my ca125 was just under 5,700,I was then fast tracked I had a c.t scan, the oncologist confirmed tumours in both ovaries plus it had spread to the omentum, bearing in mind I had at no point at all did I think cancer until my doctor explained the ca125 levels, the oncologist explained i could've had it for a couple of years, looking back now there were signs but not once did I think cancer,I had
Put on weight(I blamed my mum for sweets and cake haha plus it was Christmas too)
A persistent cough( it was winter and I had had a cold)
A pain under my ribs(I blamed coughing)
Feeling full(I just thought I was being greedy 😀)
The one thing I did have but I couldnt put my finger on it was beginning of January I started to open my bowels a lot more everyday,
As I said previously not once did I suspect cancer apart from my bowels everything that was happening i had an answer for(my husband always says I have an answer for everything 😂😂),im now nearly 3mths post chemo I am doing really well(I don't like to say too much about chemo as everyone reacts differently),I use to be very active hopefully that will come back,I now listen to my body and know what I can/can't do,the one thing I have remained throughout is being positive,Oh and also I've put quite a lot of weight on due to chemo however this is now slowly coming off with me being more active ,
As you can see by my post I love to talk😀,if anyone would like a chat or information on my experience please don't hesitate to ask xx
