Hello @Butterfly78, that's such great news about your dad, thank you for keeping us updated! How is he feeling now? Has he finished his immunotherapy?
Hi everyone, how are you doing?
Immunotherapy is a type of treatment that used your body's own immune system to help fight cancer. There are a number of different types, including t-cell transfer therapy, monoclonal antibodies, treatment vaccines, and more. They can be given through an IV, orally, topically, or intravesically (into the bladder).
Has anyone else done immunotherapy for their cancer? What type did you have? Was it successful? Did you have any side effects?

@Courtney_J hi I had two doses of immunotherapy into my bladder, the third time they did a urine test thinking I had a water infection , I was told I could not complete the six weeks then the break and another six weeks, since I had it I have had the most horrific burning pains in my hands like a acid being poured constantly on them I went for a follow up cytoscopy and saw and felt the damage done to my bladder,I can't eat more than a tiny meal a day then feel sick so take cylizine anti sick pills and have daily headaches BUT I was not warned about any of this before they gave it to me and this has been ongoing since December 2022 nobody listens or helps me just my brother who I live with I am dreading the next check up in july supposed to be every 12weeks I last went early march, thanks for reading...sadsack

Hi just thought I’d come on and give you guys quick update on how my dad is doing, well we have a chest X-ray on 23rd dec and few weeks later it showed that the tumour on his left lung had reduced by half and the tumour on his right lung has reduced a little bit wanted dad to go for a ct scan end of feb we had the results on the 8th of March to say the tumour on left had gone and the right lung had reduced even more but it looks like the bottom of his lung may of collapsed so he’s gone for a PET scan this morning so it’s now a waiting game again, dad feels fine just has a metallic taste in his mouth and is making food taste horrid, anyone had same experience??????? Anyway we’re staying positive
