I hope you are taking something to protect your stomach while on high dose ibuprofen. My doctors failed to prescribe this for me and I ended up in hospital with stomach ulcers.

Years ago was on Methotrexate and it damaged my Liver. So have regular blood tests. It's good if it works for you.

On the positive side methotrexate is a great drug if you can tolerate it. Just get stomach protectors. I have the same and can only tolerate minimal hydrolycloriquine so take 5 00 naproxen every day. Good luck hun I hope it works for you x

Have been on methotrexate for a number of years.
take once a week and folic acid on the six other days.
Have regular blood tests, platelets count is low ~120 (should be over150).
Frequently very tired but could be my age 75!
Try to walk everyday, but cold weather affects my COPD
have been wearing wrist supports for a few years to manage pain and discomfort in both wrists.

I was diagnosed in June last year as early onset. Took a year to find out what was wrong. Life had taken such a turn it has been crazy. Lost so much of my independence due to pain doing most things. Medication has started working but not enough to get back to my life.
I even had to start working from home. My wife is my support and makes it my life worth it.
Hi to all I'm very new here.

Was diagnosed at 28 not on meds until 11 years ago. On methotrexate which I hate taking but what's the alternative ? Get very tired but just carry on.

@Gmccaffrey I have found that you need to realise that you need to slow down a bit as recovery takes longer than normal. I changed my diet to a healthier one reduced the amount of meat and sugary. Also I now allow more time for events and stuff like that. As doing to much and the next days you will know about it.
Just give it time to start working then make the necessary changes that you feel you need.

Hi All
A question about folic acid, I have heard a lot of people say that they take it 6 days a week. But I am only 1 day a week is that right? Or something I should ask my nurse about?
