Hi everyone,
I'm happy to say my cancer is stable which is a good thing. Am suffering either sciatica at the moment, not happy with all the pain.
Take care

My PSA level is steady for nearly 6 years now, I rarely think about it reoccurring. However, I have now been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, so controlling my carbohydrates and checking sugar levels keep my mind away from my cancer.

I still am scared of my cancer returning, I do find it very hard to sleep, as I have many other life threatening illnesses that I find if I close my eyes I won't wake up so I just lay until I finally drop off, and that doesn't help with my anxiety, now I am worried as I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I am already a coeliac and on a gluten and wheat free diet, because of my coeliac disease, now it worries me because not knowing if I will be able to eat the food that I am used to on this gluten and wheat free diet incase there is certain foods that have sugar in its so confusing and very upsetting, I have had a blood test this week tomorrow I have to see a diabetic person who is going to itell me what happens next, also I have an appointment for a diabetic screening on my eyes it worries me because both my grandparents were blind one of my grandma's was totally blind because of diabetes and she was on insulin and that really bothers me because if that ever happens and I can't see my family then I don't know how that will affect me because they are all my world,

I haven't had any treatment yet and my type of cancer doesn't go away anyway, it returns after any treatment, so the longer I can go without it, the better.
My fear is actual treatment!

Yesterday I went to see about my Dr I have now been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so getting over cancer and comming to terms with coeliac disease now I have to cope with type 2 diabetes he has put me on metformin 500 mg 1st week I have to take 1 tablet, 2nd week 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening 3rd week 2 in the morning and 1 at night then 4th week then is 2 in the morning and 2 at night but I have to be careful on sweet things and potatoes as my body doesn't produce enough insulin and it can cause my nervous system to make strokes, heart pro problems, and cause trouble with my eyes feet and legs so hopefully my meds will help but it is another thing to worry about

Hello everyone, how are you feeling lately?
After cancer treatment, many people experience the fear of recurrence. It’s completely natural to feel anxious about the possibility of cancer returning, especially around the time of follow-up appointments or when noticing new symptoms. This kind of anxiety can sometimes feel overwhelming and even affect daily life.
How do you cope with this worry? Does anything help you remain vigilant about your health? Or have you perhaps found something that helps distract you from these thoughts?
