I have several chronic physical and mental conditions. Osteoarthritis, bronchiectasis and asthma. A mental health condition, PTSD, which I’ve struggled with for many years. Because of covid19 my mental health is much worse. I’m also in a lot of pain due to my osteoarthritis. I’m struggling badly and finding it much harder to cope each day. Apart from my husband, who also has health conditions,I don’t get to see anyone else. He doesn’t get to see anyone else either. We have no relations near us, they are scattered throughout the UK, Canada and Australia. No support. In addition, I can’t have a face to face consultation with my GP, not even online. All the GP’s at our practice only do telephone consultations, they don’t even do online consultations, at least that way I could see somebody’s face which would make all the difference for me. How long this whole situation will continue is anybody’s guess. I just know it isn’t helping me.

So sorry to hear about the rape when you were little. I too was raped from about 7 to 15 years old. Been married twice abused. Cheated on. Alas I've been with a good man almost a yr. Never thought I'd find love at 64yr old. We will both marry next summer love.

My osteoarthritis has flared up, painkillers are not working. Waiting for video call from GP on Monday. Feeling like my independence is gradually being taken away from me.

@belindaDraper ... So sorry to hear about your rape situation as a child and also what you're going through even now.
@LindaBlacker ... It's lovely to hear you have met the 'love of your life' and hoping this is the right man now for you.
@stephens ... Osteoarthritis is certainly painful; I have it in both knees. Let's hope your GP comes up with a good painkiller that might alleviate some of the pain.
Wishing everyone else a good day today and hoping to see more comments soon.

Hi, thank you for your kind words. But I feel so down and miserable yesterday as I needed some sleep. A friend gave me a pain relieve plaster, and that has given some relieve today, and I'm not so stiff. But the pain is still there but it is manageable.

@stephens ... Keep us posted as to what the GP says and what he/she advises for the pain... Take it easy and get the rest you need. Try and have a peaceful day. Thinking of you.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
In recent months following the COVID-19 crisis, we've seen the NHS and health care industry turn more and more to telemedecine. Now, GPs and other health professionals are encouraged to conduct non-urgent consultations remotely by telephone, video and online consultations where possible.
Some of the NHS-approved tools include:
And what about you? Has anyone used teleconsultation recently? If so, in what context? What did you think of it? Is it something you'd continue to use in the future? Why or why not?
