I have been compiling my favourite music lists , also started drawing pictures of country scenes which I haven’t done for 40 years. And I’m enjoying a daily walk . And hope to start doing some craft work too. Just a few ideas to pass on x

Hello, everyone,
How are you today?
During the lockdown, the book shops are closed...and unless you have an e-reader (which offers countless possibilities for downloading), the best solution is still to read the books you already have at home!
This is a chance to rediscover books you haven't opened since school! Dickens, Brontë, Shakespeare or Orwell are just waiting for you! And if they have left you with bad memories, this is an excellent opportunity to give them a second chance. It's often when we read books without pressure or obligation, just for fun, that their beauty touches us.
Have you brought out any old classics lately? Or are you already a fan of classic novels?
What are your favourite readings? Do you have any reading recommendations?
Take care,
Courtney

Hi Courtney
Ha ha ha. I think its very funny the cat licking his paw and turning pages in the book.
I am afraid I walked into the foot of the bed on Saturday with bare feet, and hurt my 3 toes very badly. I am not sure if I have broken them, but they are very bruised swollen and very painful. I didn't want to go to the A&E as Michael is shielded and I can not take the risk of sitting with other patients. Being a nurse myself, I soak my foot in iced water, take pain killers and have strapped my toes together. I did speak with the GP and she confirmed that I was doing the right thing. So no exercises for me until my toes are healed as I am having to do heel walking because it hurts so much to put weight on my foot.
Hope you are coping well with lock down. Are you working from home?
Take care and stay safe
Christina

I’ve been inside for almost six weeks now and it is getting boring. I have spent time knitting, reading, making birthday cards and reading bedtime stories to my three year old granddaughter via FaceTime- not as good as seeing her but the next best thing. If we are finding it hard, imagine how she feels. My daughter discovered last week that Leah thought the reason she couldn’t go to nursery, gymnastics or visit her two sets of grandparents must be that she’d been very naughty! How do you explain a global pandemic to a three year old?

I have plenty to do inside but my question is about 'exercising'. I am disabled and can't go out without my electric wheelchair. These is a common near me where I can hear and see birds, see trees and flowers. I love taking photos and have got good ones.
I can't go exercise for my body but it helps my mind so much. I live on my one and haven't got any families. I am 65. Is it ok to go to the common? I haven't seen any messages about people in wheelchair.

@Courtney_J I got 24 yes 24 books from my local library on 13th March. My local library waived the 20 book limit on library cards. I am also able to use the audio library via my library card. I've estimated I've got enough actual books to see me through to the end of August!

To be perfectly honest apart from the extremely annoying idiots panic buying our daily life hasn't changed that much. My wife and I are stay at homes normally. We both have interests that occupy our minds and two dogs that need exercising every day.
I do the shopping, though now its once a week to avoid contacting other people.
We have done the decorating and gardening thing and our home does look better for it, the only down side is we are both creamcrackered all the time .
One thing we both miss is being able to get to the library, the great thing for us both is being able to go to a different life and time in our heads for a short while.
Hobbies are a great way to spend time, mine is model railways. I like to get out to my shed and immerse myself in a fantasy world where its high summer all the time, there are no computers or mobile phones and most of all, trains are pulled by steam engines.
Jakesdad.

I'm keeping busy by watching tv, playing my sims 3 on my younger sister's (it was our late dad's) Xbox 360, reading and using my notebook to "talk" to my late dad as it's helping me cope without my dad.
i also talk to my family and friends on social media.

Hello everyone,
During this Coronavirus pandemic, many of us have been advised to "social distance" ourselves or even to stay at home, limiting contact with strangers, friends and even in some cases, family. No more outings to the cinema, the shops, the theatre and all those things we love to do.
We may be "stuck" at home, but let's not let it get us down!
Here are a few little ideas to help you keep busy while staying at home!
Take advantage of this time to:
What will you be doing whilst staying at home? Do you have any tips or ideas for activities? Share you thoughts or ideas below!
Take care,
