Hello everyone,
Sorry I'm a bit late with my post today! What have you been doing to keep busy?
Today's activity is a craft, but a very useful one! As there is currently a shortage of masks, you may want to make one for yourself or for your loved ones! Here's a helpful how-to video by a Parsons School of Design professor:
How to sew a face mask, Washington Post
Let me know if you give it a try, this could be a fun weekend project!
Take care,
Courtney

@Courtney_J HI, no I haven't had a letter from the medical centre, I phoned them for advice and just got told to wait for a letter. As things stand there's nothing I can do.

I love being on my laptop and am in the process of editing once again!
Time for Epinews Winter 2020 magazine... It's tiring but keeps me going! I make sure I take a break approximately every hour or so, due to lighting and imaging on the screen, which can affect those with photosensitive epilepsy. I'll be on Facebook later to catch up with Admin in groups and also run my motivational page.
Time for a cup of home-made cappuccino! Don't forget the biscuits that go with it!
Sending all my love and hang in there!

Hello everyone,
It's so nice to hear how you are all keeping busy! Today I've got a video that will get you out of your chair! Sometimes it's nice to change up how we stay active, so today let's try some cardio dance!

I am afraid that is a bit too hectic for me. having had 5 spinal surgeries and spinal fusion from top to bottom, as well as two bad knees with bone on bone, I can not jump. So this routine, how ever exciting it is, I am afraid its not for me. I went to the dancing school for 12 years and i am used to dancing, but that was before my surgeries, i will have to resolve to chair exercises for seniors and Yoga. Thanks for the link

@nineteen_gale Hello Christina, sorry the workout was too hectic for you! It's true it may not be well catered to people with back or joint conditions!
Hello everyone! How are you keeping busy? Have you picked up and pleasure projects?
Today's focus is on handicraft! Here's a lovely tutorial on knitting, but with your hands! Take a look:
DIY: HAND KNITTED BLANKET, Bella Coco Crochet
Are any of our members into knitting? Have you ever tried hand knitting? Let us know what you think!
Take care,
Courtney

@Courtney_J Like @nineteen_gale that exercise was a bit too much for me with my AS. I'm not very good with my hands, but hand crochet may be just the ticket! Does anyone know where we can find wool like that on the internet? Seeing as the shops are closed and I'm staying home, of course.
I've been keeping myself busy with MOOCs. They "massive open online courses" or free courses that you can take on the internet that are often organised by experts or unis around the world. They have all sorts of topics from languages and literature, to history, business, to fun things like wine tasting, baking, gardening, anything you like. A lot of them are free and are "go at your own pace" which is nice for someone like me who likes to take their time learning. I've been following one on literature and I'm starting one today on Handel's Messiah, which is being done by Harvard! I really like edx.org and Udemy.com and I find the latter to be an easier site to navigate.
Well that's how i've been passing the time! I hope it can help some of you! x

Thank you for the links... A great workout but even for me I'd have to take it slow due to back pain and sore muscles. First of all, trying to get the routine right would get me making all sorts of steps in the wrong direction!
The knitting one looks good too, but obviously when shops are open then its easier to find the wool and get the knitting needles!
I've also received some links for online courses which I'll attempt when finished with editing. There are many online training courses available for free; one just has to find them by doing a Google search and more.
Hoping everyone is keeping as healthy as can be expected. It seems we might be in for another 3 weeks of self-isolating or even longer but keeping occupied is what counts. It makes the day go quickly and also helps keep one's mind in tow.

I went to my surgery to get my monthly blood test, they were so calm... it was so reassuring.
On the subject of letters from GP surgery and Government - had a phone call from GP. No letter from Gov. just text! I had to self register myself on this so called 'list'. This list is a joke.. I'm not on the NHS list either?? I wont get any help as I've got a husband that can get food for me, delivery you say.. ahh great idea, alas I live rural and only 2 supermarkets will and ever have delivered out here!
On a positive note .. I AM NOT going out this Easter Weekend. I only go in my garden, which ios bringing me great pleasure and joy. I am very thankful have a loving husband, son, and live in the countryside x

Hello everyone,
During this Coronavirus pandemic, many of us have been advised to "social distance" ourselves or even to stay at home, limiting contact with strangers, friends and even in some cases, family. No more outings to the cinema, the shops, the theatre and all those things we love to do.
We may be "stuck" at home, but let's not let it get us down!
Here are a few little ideas to help you keep busy while staying at home!
Take advantage of this time to:
What will you be doing whilst staying at home? Do you have any tips or ideas for activities? Share you thoughts or ideas below!
Take care,
