i have had my 1st jab and get the 2nd one on 27th April, and think i will continue to wear a mask until everyone is vaccinated and we all know for certain that there are no more variants around..

You say its stopped cold and flu but if wearing a mask helps why hasn't it helped with covid and I see most people wearing them not wearing them properly or fiddling about with them I cant wear mine over my nose as I get all panicky and that isn't good for my health so I dont think we should be wearing them as you need air in your lungs and were not made to block our airways up so the sooner we can stop wearing them the better.

I'm still going to ware a face mask after both my vaccine's , I work on a care home and want to carry on protecting myself and others around me and my partner is terminal so I want to protect him to so we should continue to ware them for a while yet, I think the government opening up things to early is stupid we are not 100%over this virus yet so just wait and watch the virus spreading again. 😢

I have been thinking about this and I honestly don't know. I could claim an exemption from wearing a mask but choose not to. They make me feel claustrophobic and as if I can't breath if I wear them for more than about ten minutes. It also steams my glasses up which is great fun.
I have had my first vaccine and until this week have been shielding so haven't had to wear a mask much.
I think that we will be wearing masks for a long time and despite the problems I have had think I will wear mine in shops, Dr's that sort of thing even after I have my second dose. I would rather be safe than sorry

I was wearing masks before Covid and I'll continue to wear them. My immune system is rubbish and every time I used to go out I'd come back with a cold, flu or chest infection. People are so generous with their germs. Even throughout Covid, I've had people reaching over my wheelchair to get things from shelves. They just don't get it that if I can smell their b.o. they're in danger of infecting me with whatever they're carrying. It's got to the point now where I roll over their feet just to get away from them. I've been bumped into, knocked out of my chair sideways and wheeled away from where I wanted to be by these selfish people. There was a time I loved shopping but now it's terrifying. As long as there are people with poor hygiene I'll be wearing a mask. I'm contemplating adding flashing lights and bright colours to my chair as since Covid, it's become invisible to so many people. I may even add a flagpole and hang a Jolly Roger 🤣

I will continue to wear a mask even after my second jab in late April. I find them very uncomfortable, claustrophobic, makes my nose run, and steam my glasses up. We don’t venture out, only to necessary hospital or gp appointments. I’ve got to the stage that I’m scared to go out anyway. Lockdown hasn’t really affected me too much as I’ve been staying home mainly, due to my erratic bowel for ages anyway. But I would like to venture out at some point to see my family, masks at the ready!

Here in Ireland we have a huge shortfall in the delivery of vaccines. Only the over 80's and those with health risks are still getting vaccines and those workers in health care and essential front line workers. We do not know when the vaccines ordered and promised 6 months ago will be delivered. Our government are only getting promises from the vaccine industry but no commitment to deliver. Astra Zeneca cut its delivery contract by 75% and the Covid is not under any real control yet so we have to continue with full lockdown of industry and only essential retail. However thankfully the schools are opening so at least the children will be happy to be together again. If I eventually get a vaccine, then I can think about continuing to wear the mask, which I find is not problem to wear as required. I go out in the fresh air every day and walk to get more oxygen into my lungs

I will definitely be wearing a mask outside after I have had my second Covid vaccination at the end of April. I have been shielding for a year now and have no intentions of risking getting the virus until I am absolutely confident that it is safe to do so.

Why would I stop wearing a face mask after I have been vaccinated? It will still be possible to catch Covid, it is just thought it will be less severe. However, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t pass it on to someone else, and they may not have been vaccinated. I will continue to wear a face mask until advised by the medical experts that nobody needs to wear them any longer (which, I believe, won’t happen for quite a while yet)

Yes, I will continue to wear a mask. I have had two jabs several weeks ago, but as I understand it, you can still acquire Covid and possibly infect other people even though you show no symptoms.

I've been thinking about this since I had my first jab 3 weeks ago.
I see many advantages in continuing to wear a face mask ~LESS pollution, less bugs leading to chest and other infections, lowering the risk of any other nasties getting in my system and finally not having to smell other peoples bad hygiene.
The disadvantages ~ facial expressions can't be seen (although this also has its positives), can't can't smell candles, new perfume etc. Saying that though it it's not compulsory this isn't really a major problem.
