@richard0804 ... Hope you're feeling a bit better now after the first vaccination... Sounds like you had very similar side effects that a friend of mine had when she had the Astra Zeneca one too. She had a sore arm initially, then the headache and chills for 2 days. After that, she had the 'sniffles' which we put down to either a mild cold or the after-effects.
It's amazing how side effects affect us all so differently.

I will also continue to wear the mask and follow the regulations even after the 2nd jab. My husband is 84 with COPD, Asthma, Hypothyroidism and past cancer patient. I will continue to protect him until every one is vaccinated,

Well the good news is the Flu has been virtually killed off this year due our Covid procedures. This killer disease in the UK kills between 5000 to 30000 people each year and has been stopped in its tracks. So is this an indicator of pressures for us to continue with some policies that is reducing other medical issues. Even MRSA has been reduced massively in hospitals as staff conform to higher standards of hygene. Sadly the NHS ignored many illnesses and we now have 150000 dying of cancer etc., just one example. So winning and loosing at the same time but clearly positive factors to us carrying on with our hygene procedures and at times of the year maybe opting for masks. But I feel this not the case for me as I will be glad to see all the Covid hype well and truly gone and we return to normal soon, stay safe!

I agree with everyone who's previously commented. I know masks are hard, but I'll continue to wear them until we truly know they pandemic is "over". I'm sure we'll never be truly finished with COVID-19 or at least it will take many years until we're rid of it with the new strains that are out there.
I know in Asia people often wore masks before all of this anyway when sick to protect others and I still like that idea. So maybe in the future when this is all "over" people will wear them when they have the sniffles to protect others. I think I'd do that.

Like the majority of everyone's responses, yes I, will certainly continue to wear a face mask and follow the gov't guidelines after I receive my 2nd vaccine and until (hopefully) the "boffins" find it's safe to discontinue these practices. I frequently find whatever face mask I'm wearing needs "adjusting", may try using a face "shield" instead so people can see my facial expression(s) but currently trying to use my "body language" more effectively and tone of voice to convey what my mask conceals! I received my 1st vaccine on the 13/2 and not expecting to receive my 2nd until early/mid-May?
The Covid-19 pandemic "is what it is" and personally feel life may remain "different" from how things used to be but continue to remain optimistic, as many people as possible, are currently or as soon as possible, becoming more "mindful" and kinder to each other and the space(s) we share.

I've been thinking about this since I had my first jab 3 weeks ago.
I see many advantages in continuing to wear a face mask ~LESS pollution, less bugs leading to chest and other infections, lowering the risk of any other nasties getting in my system and finally not having to smell other peoples bad hygiene.
The disadvantages ~ facial expressions can't be seen (although this also has its positives), can't can't smell candles, new perfume etc. Saying that though it it's not compulsory this isn't really a major problem.
