@Yougatheart hi, I am just starting today to reduce my Pregabalin but it will take a while because as you mentioned it has to be done slowly. I am looking to reduce it by 25mg each month and then start on the morphine!!!

I've never been able to use pregabalin or gabapentin and weaned myself off of morphine, as left me so drowsy, all day. Am on methocarbamol, which helps relax muscles and Co-codamol, with CBD drops, which helps and also having acupuncture, which helps relieve the pain.

@Yougatheart I cannot use the CBD oil I bought, as it contains coconut oil, to which I am allergic.

There are so many CBD products out there, that it is very difficult to know which one to choose. Is there anyway the strengths, purities, etc. can be checked, is there a standard and what dosage should I start with and how often? I find I have a sort of brain fog with the current tablets I'm on and never fully refreshed, even after sleeping. I'd like to be able to take something to help with the pain, that's natural but no idea where to start.

Can anyone recommend a CBD oil that really works. I've tried the gummies and they don't touch the pain.

I have tried CBD oil for chronic pain, and have found the best times to use it is before going to bed and before getting out of bed in a morning. However, you do need to be consistent in using CBD oil to get the best results from it.
Although it's not particularly nice to take, if you have a mint that you can suck on after using the CBD oil, this does take away some of the oily taste.

Hi. I am also suffering from severe left sided neck pain and left shoulder and upper arm pain. Added to that I have also got pain in my jaw when chewing on hard thing like carrots. GP put me on Tramadol and Paracetamol together which did give me relief but once the medication wears off, the pain is back. My GP was quite concerned about this pain and she thinks that I may have Polymyalgia which needs to be confirmed with blood tests. I looked up Polymyalgia on google and every single sign and symptom fits what I am feeling. Its an Autoimmune disease I am quite frightened. I have an urgent appointment with my GP on Monday to discuss this and she will order a number of blood tests to confirm the diagnosis. Sorry, I am not trying to frighten you, but you having the same pains that i am suffering, thought I might share this with you. Have you been suffering the neck and shoulder pain for long? It would be worth talking to your GP about it. Wish you good luck.

I was on Gabapentin first and was switched over to Pregablin during the time I was going through 5 Spinal surgeries I was on it for 6 years and i had gained 6kg of weight. Pregablin with combination of Amitriptyline sent me loopy post op after my 5th surgery. The consultant asked me to stop the medication instantly. He said that I should not have been on it for 6 years. You are supposed to have them only for 6 months. I stopped the medication instantly without weaning. I lost all the weight had gained and never suffered any after affects

@nineteen_gale I have been on PREGABLIN for around 8 years and I have managed to reduce it from 225mg down to 100mg by cutting back by 25mg each month. I have been on Morphine for approx 15 years and I will try to cut that back as well if I can stop the pregabalin.
My GP said that both these drugs are for acute pain and they will not help with chronic pain. Didn't say what would help though.

I took my last Pregabalin tablet on 28th December with no significant increase in my pain levels. Still on Morphine but I am going to try to cut it down and see what happens.

Feel free to share and exchange comments below!
Have a wonderful day,
Courtney
