I have taken to having a walk every day, The walk takes me an hour or more because I have to pace myself frequently . The same. walk would take another person 20minutes to do but one can hope.

I’m pleased to say I’m still fit enough to play golf at least twice per week - I’m ok until I sit down after a round and then try to get up!! I’ve noticed a stiffening of the legs since our dog died 2 years ago. I used to walk him for 1 - 2 hrs every day. Sadly getting a bit ‘long in the tooth’ for dog ownership but never say never!! I keep threatening to go swimming although I find it a little boring - but respect to those who partake.

Exercise is so important for my inflammatory arthritis. I workout in the gym 3 days a week, swim once weekly. I also do a 2 or 3 mile walk along the promenade most nights. There is many a time I don’t feel like it, but I know if I skip I will suffer the next day. It does take a lot of willpower to go some days, but it’s always worth it

I have to do physiotherapy on a daily basis and I also go to easy circuits and aqua aerobics each week just to keep my joints moving and keep the pain away.

I'm making an effort to walk more, & to return to Yoga (at home), which has been part of my spiritual practice for several years.

I rely on a standing frame which helps me stand up. Also I go swimming.

Not much , I find it very difficult to do exercise as I am constantly out of breath doing any kind of activity. I would love to go for a walk but I would be stopping every few meters.

Unfortunately, having a chronic condition can severely limit the amount of energy and strength a person has. We wanted to ask you, how much exercise do you manage every day? Is it a short walk? A cycle? A swim?
Please share in the comments below and we can encourage each other to move more (within our capabilities) to have healthier lifestyles!
