Have you ever tried Turmeric? Put Turmeric for health in Google and read up on it.

I have been taking Turmeric for over 3 years now. I was told I needed a total knee replacement in 2015. I was not ready for a major op, as i was only 8 weeks since I had my 5th Spinal surgery. So I resorted to natural therapy, such as Cod Liver oil. Omega 3, Rose hip, Glucosamine and Chondroitin MSM and Turmeric. Since I started taking Turmeric, my knee pain became much more tolerable and the arthritic pains in my fingers, knees and neck improved a great deal. i still have both my knees, although the right one seems that it might not last for too long. If you do decide to go for Turmeric, please check with your GP first as it may interact with some medications you might be on. If you are on any anticoagulants(Blood thinners) you are advised not to take the supplements but Dietary Turmeric is very safe. Ant ways, have a look at the website I sent you. it gives you all th information. You even get to ask questions, so do look it up.
Good luck

Hello everyone,
I'm having more and more difficulties doing everyday tasks because of joint stiffness. Things like dressing myself (ah buttons!), cooking, cleaning, etc are becoming quite hard. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for devices that make life a little easier for an old achey soul like me?

Walking unaided is impossible but not just due to osteoarthritis but also to childhood Polio (before vaccines were discovered) and now suffering with Post Polio Syndrome. Presently I can manage about 15 metres with elbow crutches but any further means I need to use my mobility scooter. I still manage to cook a main meal from scratch every day and do chores such as washing clothes. My husband does most of the shopping - I provide the list, in supermarket shelf order!! 🤣🤣 He also does the washing up although I dry up. He broke his hip in 2016 when he fell on a cruise ship so then neither of us could manage things such as vacuuming so we bit the bullet and got a cleaner which really helps. My latest concession is having a stair lift installed which has made a real difference.

I’m finding it hard to manage every day things. Walking down hill is the worse and I now use a mobility scooter but my shoulders and wrists are now bad so trying to get a power chair. Preparing food and cleaning house are also a problem.

@Lozzerella Hello Lozzerella, thank you for your comment. I'm really sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. I was looking through the discussions and thought that this one on Osteoarthritis and dealing with pain might be useful to you.
Take care,
Michael

Hello everyone,
Osteoarthritis impacts different joints in the body. It could be your spine, knees etc. Depending where your osteoarthritis is, it can make doing different tasks difficult.
