Hello everyone!
Did you know that radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas, could be present in your home without you even knowing?
Radon can seep into buildings from the ground, through cracks or gaps in the foundation. People who spend a lot of time in basements or lower floors are especially at risk. It's completely invisible and has no smell, so you wouldn't notice it on your own. But over time, inhaling radon can damage lung cells, and this damage may lead to lung cancer with long-term exposure.
The good news is that testing for radon at home is straightforward in the UK. You can order a testing kit from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) for around 52.80.
📍Not sure if your area is at higher risk? The UK government offers a free interactive map where you can enter your postcode to check the radon levels in your area.
Have you ever tested your home for radon?
Were you aware of this invisible risk?
If your levels were high, would you take action?

Let's chat about what we can do to protect our homes and health, especially in regions where radon is more common.
Take care!
