MEDICATION for Fibromyalgia.

hi im on 900 mg 3 times a day and although it takes the edge off some symptoms it dosent help with others . i also take 500 mg naproxen 2 times a day and paracetomol on painfull days . I am due a review with my doc and want to try something else as im up to the limit now on gabapentin. 

Migraines and severe facial head and face pain has eased 

Burning dragging pain in affected areas which is quite widespread had improved by maybe 25%

painfull (severe) in hands feet lower Back (bottom) and both shoulder blades still and this part is what i want to manage better.

I am on 150mg slow release Tramadol twice daily, 200mg naproxen, 1000mg paracodol four times daily and have recently started 10mg Amitriptyline at night to try to help e sleep and here I am at 1.00am wide awake and in pain.  I feel I have got used to the tramadol can anyone recommend an alternative?

i take 60 mg of  amitriptyline plus other meds is amitriptyline as good as gabepentin thanks

I took amitriptyline for a brief time, but couldn't stay on it, for weight reasons and they put me on Citalopram. Gabapentin and Amitriptyline are different drugs entirely, so you can take both of them alongside. I've been sort of ok with the gabapentin, I even seen my gp to change my citalopram and the remark I got back was I have to stick with the citalopram, come of the gabapentin then, didn't know what to think. So chose to leave well alone.

My doctor said I have to come completely of Tramadol 150  twice daily before I can start any other treatment for pain as I am having side effects of severe sweating on the drug and I don't know how I am going to cope!

I take gabapentin 1500 mg daily.  I have oramorph which I use at night if pain is preventing me from sleeping. I have 40 mg citalopram daily.  I tried Pregabalin but that triggered migraines and also made me eat like a cart horse.  I have other conditions and because of those I take 5mg temazepam nightly.  I am relatively satisfied with my pain relief but I suffer badly from weakness and exhaustion.  Because of my other condition, I have my blood tested weekly I am on magnesium supplementation, B12 injections and Vitamin D injections.  If I increase gabapentin above current levels it affects my platelet count.  So all my blood levels are okay except that I'm always fractionally iron anaemic but nothing worth medicating for.  Has anyone found anything that helps with weakness and exhaustion?
