Hi you are not alone in this. I struggle to focus especially first thing in the morning whilst trying to read the paper, which I mostly have to put down as all the words seem to go into one. I don't have it in the evening but find I do get the same thing after I have taken my meds before going to bed. Hope that helps in some way. Best wishes Mo

Thanks Mo, that does help. At least I can be fairly certain it's just another thing to chalk off to fibro. I seem to get it morning and evening but not every day, it never occured to me it could be linked to meds. So thank you for that

Aw thanks so much, Sclancy, do either of you any suggestions for dealing with it? Do you try reading glasses?

Hi Sciancy, I can't say that reading glasses would help. I do have them but the symptom still persist. I know it's not always convenient but the only way I know to deal with it is, to go to sleep. Hope this helps. Mo

I get it first thing in the morning cant seem to focus feel like I have been drugged then get told can tell your half a sleep and I do wear glasses but also I get light sensitivity which only got picked up on my last vision test and yet I feel I have had it for ages especially night time whilst out with street lamps and cars all blend into one.

Fibromyalgia does affect the eyes and the medication can cause dry eye syndrome. For this you can buy false tear eyedrops at the chemist but you can also ask your GP to prescribe them for you. They are not expensive and cost less than £ 3.00 and provide excellent relief from this condition.

Hi all, it's been a while since I've been on here but would really appreciate any thoughts. I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. I feel like I have really tired eyes and struggled to focus on days when I'm really tired. Has anyone else with FM experienced this? According to sight tests I have prefect vision but some mornings and nights I just can't focus.
