My seizures are mainly focal and happen regularly. I get the feeling of an electric current in my head, numbness in my right hand and the feeling of being in space. I'm not able to talk just hear what's going on in the background. It takes the shaking of my right hand to basically get feeling back. Tiredness and headaches are always normal afterwards.

After I've had a seizure I'm very tired and no energy I feel very uncomfortable my muscles feel like stone they feel hard and sore they ache and my muscles in my legs hurt. I can't string a sentence together, my coordination is all out of sync. It can take a few hours to recover I usually try to go to sleep. It's just something I have to deal with, as its been part of my life since I was 7 years old I'm 52 now so I've had enough time to get used to my condition.

Hello everyone-
How are you doing today?
It can be hard to describe the sensations and emotions that come with chronic illnesses. Sometimes you are so used to feeling it that words cannot accurately describe what you are feeling.
Let's try to describe what it's like to one another. Maybe someone will be able to adopt some words that closely relate to what they feel.

How do you feel during and after your seizures? Can you describe what it feels like right before? What type of emotions do you have afterwards?
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
