I was treated with Humera for 12 months but u fortunately developed anti bodies so had to transfer to Infliximab (Remicade) and have had three treatments so far. I am feeling much better and symptoms have improved, however I do seem to suffer with depression and mood swings for about a week after treatment.

I'm on humera for arthritis but it's also good for Crohns. Unfortunately I took septicaemia because of methotrexate and managed to survive .when I was 21 I had 90% of my large intestine removed and they made a pouch from my small and put it inside to connect but never did, this became infected with crowns which led to septicaemia and they had to take that out.now I'm on prednisone for the rest of my life because of long term use and my body stopped producing it.But lifes good at 44 just now.

Hi everyone,
You are suffering with Crohn's disease and you know nothing about biotherapy (biological therapy)? Time to talk about it!
- What is biotherapy?
- What are the conditions to have access to this treatment? etc.
If you are currently treated by biotherapy, let other patients benefit from your experience!
- Are you satisfied with this treatment?
- What are the drawbacks of it?
Share your tips and advice with other Carenity members by commenting on this discussion.
We also invite you to take part in a survey on biotherapy. Click here to learn more and participate, if you haven’t already done that.
Kind regards,
The Carenity team
