Medication Naproxen for Chronic Pain

I also take Naproxin.  It doesn't take my pain away completely, but I am far worse without it, so it certainly helps.  Do you get any side-effects from it at all Clarity68? 

I take Tramadol and Ibrufen if Tramadol alone not taking the pain away, think I am now hooked on Tramadol though and it's not as effective. Is Naproxen stronger?m

They are different types of medication @ILoveSpitz - Tramadol is an opioid painkiller, whereas Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory drug.  I am prescribed both of them, but Naproxen is only prescribed if the source of the pain is inflammation.

Thank you Suncatcher, think a trip to my GP needed as not supposed to take many Ibrufen but at times only the combination of Tramadol and Iboprufen eases pain,

I take Naproxen, doesn't seem to help but if I didn't take it I would know about it.

As for tramadol......no way can I take that.....makes me loopier than usual

My Zomorph has been increased to 2 twice a day - they are 12 hour slow release ones, but I now feel completely hung over in the mornings and it takes me ages to get my brain in sync with my body!

Hi, I don't know about Zomorph  but could you tweak them and take them earlier in the morning and earlier at night?

I know I had to do that with Naproxen which is 12 hour slow release.  Not because of a hung over feeling but because of the pain.

I changed the times and it works a bit better now.

Hi all, My medication is :- Oxycodone fast release 4 times a day. Oxycodone slow release 2 times a day. Pregabalin 2 times a day and Paracetamol 4 times a day, on max. dosage of all!!!!  I'm also fitted with a spinal cord stimulator and I take other meds for other aliments 12 different tablets per day lol.

In the past I've also been on Ketamine and Nabilone. (Both of these only prescribed by Hospital pain unit)
