I had an angioplasty after having a heart attack the procedure was done through my groin which wasn't painful but a little uncomfortable, the procedure took about twenty minutes to half an hour the vein was then plugged which stays in place for a period of three months, after my procedure my vein started to bleed and the dr had to apply pressure to the groin until the bleeding subsided this took approximately twenty minutes overall I found the experience a little frightening as it was unfamiliar territory to me but necessary to see the extent of the damage caused by my mi thankfully my heart didn't sustain any damage the cardiologist was confident I could be treated wit medication which im still taking today blood thinner beta blocker blood pressure tablets statins etc unfortunately my treatment is indefinitely but my treatment was started the moment I got to hospital I found the hospital to be very thorough im lucky as they say 40 per cent of heart attack victims do not survive

Hello everyone,
Do you have any experience with surgeries and procedures for CVD's? For instance angioplasty or bypass? How does it affect your everyday life?
Good day to you all,
Marina
