After many years of taking statins, I became allergic to this treatment.

I left them because of the side effects. I prefer to try to cope with a more balanced diet and natural stuff

My recent blood tests revealed that my enzyme levels were greatly increased. My Creatinine Kinas level rose to 145. Normal level is 25 to 125. The repeat blood test showed that it increase further to 217. I stopped Statins and within a month my levels were back down to 118. In view of this my Cardiologist advised me to stop Statins and advised me to start on an alternative to Statins, which is not as effective as Statins, but a second line level to Statins, which would still provide me with some protection against the risk of having a heart attack or Stroke.

For many years I was taking simvastatin and the world was calm. The one doctor changed it to autovastin and my life went to pieces, the pain in my joints was totally unbearable and my osteoarthritis was not responding to the pain meds. So another doctor change it to pravastatin to see how things went on, well I have been on them ever since they have not caused the major problems the other one did. The need to understand the way each one works on people who have to take them, and find the one that works well for that patient.
