When my husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a week later his firm where he had worked for 30 years went into liquidation so he went on a benefit called ESA employment support allowance he was placed in the support group because he has cancer he only receives £112 a week but a bit better that JSA so you either have cancer and if you have a job your expected to work or have to apply for support there is no other help that we have found.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last July I was told after all the scans that i would possibly live for 2 -15 years as i am 60 years old i thought as i had prepared for retirement at 65 i could look at retiring now so after looking at the options open to me thought the social security would help to no avail has anyone else had these problems
