Medication indications

Ibuprofen 10% w/w gel

For the relief of pain and inflammation associated with backache, rheumatic pain, muscular aches, pains or swellings such as sprains, strains and sports injuries.

Ibuprofen 100 mg/5 ml Oral Suspension

Prescription and OTC: Ibuprofen 100 mg / 5 ml Oral Suspension is used as an analgesic for relief of mild to moderate muscular pain, post-immunisation pyrexia, symptomatic relief of headache, earache, dental pain and backache. It can also be used in minor injuries such as sprains and strains. Ibuprofen 100 mg / 5 ml Oral Suspension is effective in the relief of feverishness and symptoms of colds and influenza.

Prescription Only: Ibuprofen 100 mg / 5 ml Oral Suspension is indicated for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea, neuralgia, postoperative pain, rheumatoid arthritis (including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or Still's disease), ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and other non-rheumatoid (seronegative) arthropathies.

In the treatment of non-articular rheumatic conditions, Ibuprofen 100 mg / 5 ml Oral Suspension is indicated for periarticular conditions such as frozen shoulder (capsulitis), bursitis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis and low back pain. Ibuprofen 100 mg / 5 ml Oral Suspension can also be used in soft tissue injuries such as sprains and strains.

Ibuprofen 100mg/5ml Oral Suspension

Children 3 months to 12 years (> 5 kg):

• the reduction of fever, including post immunisation pyrexia

• the relief of the symptoms of colds and influenza

• the relief of mild to moderate pain, such as a sore throat, teething pain, toothache, earache, headache, minor aches and sprains.

Ibuprofen 200 mg film coated tablets

In adults and children over 6 years (>20 kg): Short term treatment of fever and pain of mild to moderate intensity, including dysmenorrhea.

Long term symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases.

Ibuprofen 200mg Tablets

Adults, elderly and Children over 12 years :

Rheumatic or muscular pain, backache, neuralgia, migraine, headache, dental pain, dysmenorrhoea, feverishness, symptoms of colds and influenza.

Children under 12 years of age: Not recommended

Ibuprofen 400 mg film coated tablets

In adults and children over 12 years (>40 kg): Short term treatment of fever and pain of mild to moderate intensity, including dysmenorrhea.

Long term symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases.

Ibuprofen 400mg Tablets

Adults, elderly and Children over 12 years :

Rheumatic or muscular pain, backache, neuralgia, migraine, headache, dental pain, dysmenorrhoea, feverishness, symptoms of colds and influenza.

Ibuprofen 600 mg film coated tablets

Symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis (including systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis [sJIA]), osteoarthritis, seronegative arthropathies and in painful swelling and inflammation after soft tissue injuries.

Ibuprofen 600mg Tablets

Ibuprofen is indicated for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or Still's disease), ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and other non-rheumatoid (seronegative) arthropathies.
