Codis 500 (which contains codeine) is indicated in children older than 16 for the short term treatment of acute, moderate pain which is not considered to be relieved by other analgesics such as paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin alone, such as headache, muscular aches, rheumatic pain, toothache, period pains) or acute, moderate pain associated with migraine, neuralgia, sprains, strains, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis, and joint swelling.
