Hey! Sorry I don’t have advice, I’m having the same issue, it’s really horrible! I am thinking I’m going to try cutting out gluten and cut back on sugar, it’s really a nightmare, I feel like mine is partly stress induced and all the covid stress isn’t helping me, also lost my job because of lockdown, I want to peel my skin off! 😭

@Cazz2008 @amygray Hello Cazz2008 and amygray, thank you for opening and commenting on this discussion. Cazz2008, I'm sorry to hear you've been going through all that, let me tag some other members who may be able weigh in.
Hello all, how are you doing? Have you ever had a flare that is as persistant as Cazz2008's? Were you able to figure out its origin? Do you have any advice or tips to share?

Hi Cazz2008, I really feel for you. I know exactly what you're going through. I've had ezcema all my life, but the past 3 years its came to my face. This year has been the longest I've had it - since March.
I feel like I'm in a rubbish guessing game trying to figure out what's causing it.
I had intolerance tests and found out I'm highly intolerant to dairy, gluten and yeast, so I've cut them out since September. I've not seen much change in my ezcema from this, but I think I need to be more patient as it can take up to 6 months to see improvement.
I'm now having phototherapy sessions which seem to be helping. But both these are expensive, I get some of it back on my medical insurance (at the moment I'm working abroad). I have just purchased a phototherapy machine off Amazon though - yes its expensive but if you're like me you're desperate. Because you need to do sessions 2-3 times a week.

Thank you @Dancingqueen84 il have a look at Amazon, I’m desperate I really hope it starts clearing up for you soon too. Waiting to see a specialist at the moment (again) so hoping to see if intolerance is playing a part. It’s just so frustrating it’s on the face and I can’t control it.
really appreciate your reply Iv cut all alcohol and coffee out for now and hoping this will help. @amygray your skin on top of everything this year, it’s so unfair. Let’s hope cutting gluten may help. I’m already dairy free I really don’t want to cut much else but I will if it helps. Thanks both

I bought this stuff from eBay, I’ve only used it a couple of days but my face has improved an awful lot with it! It’s really greasy at 1st so need to do it a while before u go out but my skin has been drinking it up really well!
I have had a couple of experiences with stuff in the past and it’s only been a temporary fix like it just stops working for me for some reason but it was only £12 so even if it’s only a temporary relief I thought I’d share with yous as I’m really pleased with it so far! Hope it helps! xx

Hello please help, Iv had eczema since I was born but can always control my flair ups. But this particular one I have had it on and off since April my forehead is so itchy and blotchy, and it comes and goes and gives me a swollen hood on my eyes. Doctors have prescribed steroids for my head which Iv been using since April and antihistamine. I use dermol to shower and I’m very careful not to get face wet when washing my hair. However my shampoo is fine. I’m so careful with products. It’s got to the point I can’t exercise as sweat makes it worse I’m really miserable, I have just read a post about coffee so il try to cut this out. Any advice I’d welcome, Iv had patch tests as doctors think I’m allergic to something and they want to send me again. I’m just at the end of my teather and could do with seeing what your all doing I feel like Iv tried everything. Hope every one is ok. :)
