Hello, thanks for these tips Gilda! I would also add that I prefer to use the electric shaver and instead of the ordinary razor because there is no risk of cutting yourself.
Good luck for all those with psoriasis out there!

On the occasion of the World Psoriasis Day, we give you 5 tips to avoid complications while shaving or removing your hair (by waxing or using creams).
1. Avoid shaving or waxing as much as possible
While shaving or removing your hair (by waxing or using creams) are not incompatible with psoriasis, it is advised, when possible, to avoid it in order to not cause irritation or cuts.
2. Be careful of sensible areas when shaving or waxing
Some areas, such as skin folds, may be more susceptible than others to shaving or hair removal. During shaving or waxing of these areas, be careful to avoid irritation or bleeding that can provoke new plates (Koebner phenomenon).
3. Do not use shaving or waxing techniques that are too "brutal".
Waxing with cold or hot wax is not advised while having psoriasis. In fact, doing this, makes the temperature of the skin, already fragile, to change suddenly and frequently results in skin irritations when the hair is removed. Tweezers or electric epilators are not ideal either, because they are quite aggressive with the skin.
4. Avoid alcohol-based products
Certain hair removal and shaving products contain alcohol that can cause allergies. We invite you to avoid them.
5. Use emollients and hydrating creams
It is advised to use an emollient cream when shaving the face in order to avoid scales. To appease the "razor burn", you can also, after shaving, apply a moisturizing or emollient cream on your skin.
If, despite these few tips, a problem appears on your skin, you should consult a dermatologist.
