I prefer the pump, but I don't like that it takes 3-4 hours for the insulin (Novorapid) to start working.

Insulin pump definitely change vial every 2/3 days where as the pens I would be injecting 6 times a day..

I like the pump for the freedom it gives me, but at a price. It takes up to 4 hours for the insulin delivered by the Medtronic pump I use to have an effect on my blood sugar. The placement of the canular seems to have some effect on the speed the insulin starts working.
