Hi Margarita, I've recently started on humira, so thank you for this topic! My cousin is a nurse so she administrates my injections for me once a week. I could never do it myself!
I'd like to hear others tell about the side effects they've had so far, so as to be prepared. Thanks! Take care you all.

Hi Margarita
I trust you are well?
I have been taking Humira , self administration, Fortnightly on a Monday for around 10 months with NO side effects at all. I think (my OWN opinion) is that it depends of your frame of mind, if you want it to do you good? It usually does.
My Ankilosing Spondilitis OVERALL PAIN level has improved by around 40% since taking Humira. I feel much better not having the constant chronic pain, I can get on and do a little bit more around the house, even go to the shops with my wife.
Yes I'm very thankful to my Consultant Rheumatologist Mr Raj Sengupta and the Care Team at The R.N.H.R.D in Bath for getting the necessary funding for the drug. Try it you may be surprised?

Hi @richard0804 ,
Thank you very much for your sharing your experience with Humira! And I am glad it has helped you feel less pain!
It will be of use to those who have just started on this medication, like @april007 . However, we should keep in mind that every patient is different and the reaction to the same medication can vary as well.

Humira is a popular biologic prescribed for patients with Ankylosing spondylitis to relieve symptoms of this autoimmune disease.
Have you already been prescribed Humira injections by your doctor/consultant? If yes, how often did you have to do the injections and did you do it at home or in a hospital?
What are the results?
Humira can cause various side effects, including the development of serious infections and even cancer. What side effects did you experience? How did you cope?
Also, it will be nice if we all could share some tips on this medication so that people who have just started or are thinking od starting on Humira, could be more aware of what awaits them.
Thank you all in advance!
