@stephanyJ It's true that ice and snow can be a nightmare, especially for people with mobility issues. I'm glad to hear the community helps you keep your spirits up.

I definitely feel worse in the winters months. It's so gloomy and the cold makes my joint ache and stiffness so much worse. And in the cold I have less desire to leave the house, so I stay in, which does nothing good for my mood, like @stephanyJ said. My son ordered me a little lamp that I put on in the morning and it seems to be helping, I think the simulated sunlight does me a lot of good.

I don't know if I have the "blues" per se, but the cold definitely makes it harder for me to do sport, especially with my asthma.

Hi everybody. Just been reading your conversations and not really sure this is the right site for me!! Really just looking for somewhere to open up about my feelings at present after having a lumpectomy and radiotherapy for breast cancer in 2018. I am clear now but have found myself struggling ever since to cope with depression and anxiety. It seems so silly to still be struggling after 18 months of being free of it. I just get a bit drowned sometimes in my own thoughts and fears. The fear of the cancer returning and being less kind to me, but especially the fear of it taking my life away from me....permanently!!!! Thought I was coping pretty well in the beginning, but since December 2019 things got progressively worse, and now I am struggling to even get to work at all. Is this normal after so long.....or am I just being silly??
